A veteran of over 40 years in the independent music industry, he has held various positions in independent distribution and record labels. Those entities include Best & Gold Dist (1966-1973), Action Music (1973-1994), and MS Distributing Co. (1994-1999). CPI was created in 2000 to maximize the various business opportunities available working with independent artists, record labels, distributors, on-line entities and CD replicators. |
Rick ChrzanRick Chrzan began his career in the Music Industry with M.S. Distributing Co. in 1975. He held positions in Warehouse Management, Marketing, Sales, as Sales Manager, and eventually as Vice-President General Manager of the Music Division for MS. He was instrumental in the company’s growth from a Regional Distributor into a leading National Independent Distributor. Through this experience he worked with premier Independent labels such as Arista, A&M, Motown, Island, Chrysalis, Fantasy, and Alligator Records. Since 2000, he has worked as a Sales and Marketing Consultant in the Indy community with Liquid 8 Records, Navarre Corporation, and CD-RL, a technology company involved with digital delivery, as well as representing artists and labels to Universal and WEA. |
